(1) How effective are police officer body camera initiatives impacting on policing leadership and officer accountability? Explain.

Student expectations for Forum questions:

Each student’s answer to the question should be a minimum of 350 words. A minimum of one peer reviewed reference needs to be used in the development of your answer. You also need to provide two (2) feedback posts to your peers. Each feedback post needs to be 150 words or more and should include information that helps to enhance the discussion on the topic. Do not include statements such as great work, or excellent post. Try to include info that is challenging and respectful and that will stimulate debate. Also, be mindful of including references and citations whenever citing facts to support your position. APA 6th edition citations and references must be used always.

Discussion TWO and TWO peer responses

1. Discuss utilitarianism and deontological ethics.

2. Discuss the different categories of unethical police behavior and provide an example of each. How do these unethical actions impact the policing profession?

3. Discuss civil liability under Federal Code 42 U.S.C. Section 1983.

Instructions:

Original responses to the Forum questions each week need to be substantial (350 – 500 words) and significantly supported by two scholarly references. Students must also use proper spelling, grammar, and sentence structure. The in-text citations and references will be in APA Format.

Students will also be required to respond to at least two (2) other students posting with significant comments that have substance (150 words). Comments such as, “Good job!” or “I agree” do not earn you any participation points. Your responses to another’s work should be posted as a sub-thread to the student’s original posting whom you are commenting.

For the peer responses, please just write a

general response that can be posted on any initial post as an extension
