Option 1: Subway International Expansion Case Study

Read Subway International and the Global Fast Food Industry in the Asia-Pacific and Latin America and write a paper addressing the following:

  • Describe the four factors Subway exploited in order to grow nationally and that the company also used to grow internationally.
  • Formulate recommendations to improve the market position of global companies in regional markets.
  • Recommend adaptations of a global strategy to local market conditions.

Your paper should adhere to the following standards:

  • Be three to five pages in length, not including the title or references pages.
  • Include at least three academic references, including one peer-reviewed article, preferably from the CSU-Global Library.
  • Review the grading rubric in the Module 4 folder.
  • Be sure to format your paper according to the CSU-Global Guide to Writing and APA Requirements.
  • Include an introduction, a body with at least two fully developed paragraphs, and a conclusion.

Option 2: Merger and Acquisition

Your company recently went through a merger or acquisition in which at least one of the parties involved was an African firm. Write a company letter to the Board to describe the rationale behind the merger or acquisition. Identify if the merger or acquisition was vertical or horizontal in nature. Compare and contrast some advantages to pursuing the merger as opposed to pursuing an alliance.

Your letter should adhere to the following standards:

  • Be three to five pages in length, not including the title or references pages.
