Personal Manifesto:

Write a statement reflecting your intentions, values, goals and aspirations regarding your professional career focusing on your service to society. Think about the world you want to live in and what can you do as an computer professional to make such world a reality. Give some thought to what you want to be like and what you can give to society as a professional. How do you want to be remembered by others? What do you want to achieve and what are you willing to do (or give up) to achieve it? What values are important to you to uphold in the area of your expertise? Think of others, the society, the world.

Your manifesto should address three areas; a) what is the current state of the matter you care about, b) how should it change/what should it be in an ideal situation, c) what will you do to work toward the ideal state. Include bibliography. Note: footnotes and bibliography are not counted in overall word count for this assignment. Required: Minimum of 5 sources quoted, minimum of 3 footnotes declared

By causing people to evaluate the gap between those principles and their current reality, the manifesto challenges assumptions, fosters commitment, and provokes change.
