You will learn to understand how data is analysed and synthesised using qualitative and quantitative research methods and tools.
This assignment would help students to broaden their understanding of how different research methodologies are adopted on a research project and how data is analysed and synthesised from a data set and reported back as research finding.
Task:
You are required to report on the research methodology used and how data was collected and analysed in selected academic publications.
You are required to select four journal papers, two of them discussing the qualitative research methodologies and other two presenting the quantitative research methodologies.
You are required to report back on both Qualitative and Quantitative data sets analysed in those selected publications and report back their findings.
Students are required to discuss the different research tools employed including methodology adopted, data collection tool, data analysis mechanism and presentation of the finding for each of the four papers.
Students would use their learning to present their analysis and findings as final results in their reports.
Assessment criteria:
Selection of the research papers, two each for qualitative and quantities research methodology
Detailed discussion on the Research Approaches, Paradigm, Tools & Techniques, and Methodology adopted in the selected four research publications.
Detailed discussion on data collection tools used, data analysis mechanism adopted and various ways in which finding from each of the four papers are presented.
